Terms of service
These terms govern your use of Trumailo. By creating an account you accept them.
Acceptance
By creating a Trumailo account, accessing our service, or calling our API you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you don't agree, don't use the service.
The service
Trumailo provides programmatic email verification — we tell you whether an email address is deliverable, risky, or invalid, with confidence scores and detailed signal results. We provide it via a web dashboard and an HTTP API.
Your account
- You must be 16 or older to create an account.
- You're responsible for keeping your password and API keys secret.
- You're responsible for all activity that happens under your account.
- One account per person or organisation; sharing accounts to evade limits is not allowed.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use Trumailo to:
- Validate addresses for unsolicited bulk email ("spam"), phishing, scraping, harassment, or stalking.
- Reverse-engineer, resell, or sublicense the service without our written permission.
- Exceed your plan's rate limits via multiple accounts or other circumvention.
- Probe or scan our infrastructure for vulnerabilities except under a written agreement.
- Violate any law applicable to you, your users, or recipients of your sends.
Full details: see our Acceptable Use Policy.
Fees, billing, refunds
- Fees are listed on /pricing and billed via our merchant of record (Paddle).
- Plans renew automatically until cancelled. Annual plans charge yearly up-front.
- 30-day money-back guarantee: see our Refund Policy.
- Taxes are added at checkout where required by your jurisdiction.
- We may change prices for new billing periods with at least 30 days' notice.
Intellectual property
Trumailo retains all rights to the service, brand, and proprietary parts of our codebase. You retain all rights to data you submit. By submitting data you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to use it solely to provide the service to you.
Open-source code
Large portions of Trumailo are open source under MIT licence on GitHub (github.com/trumailo). You may self-host. These Terms only cover use of our hosted service.
Data processing
Where you submit personal data of your customers to us, you are the data controller and we are the data processor. Our DPA applies and is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
Warranty disclaimer
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties — express, implied, statutory — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability under these Terms for any claim is capped at the greater of $100 or the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
Indemnification
You'll indemnify and hold Trumailo harmless from any claim arising out of your use of the service, your data, or your violation of these Terms.
Termination
You can cancel any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate your account for material breach of these Terms (notably the acceptable-use clauses), with 7 days' written notice except for security or legal emergencies which take effect immediately.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Trumailo is incorporated. Disputes go to the competent courts of that jurisdiction unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country say otherwise.
Changes
We may update these Terms; material changes get 30 days' notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
